I product manage Cell Press’s website and apps from conception, through production, to day-to-day operation. My goal is to provide a world-class experience for authors and readers of groundbreaking science.

2014 Results:

  • Over 100% increase in usage of select publications within 9 months of the site relaunch
  • Site-wide traffic increases of over 40% due to improved SEO
  • 400% increase in conversions to commercial products (e.g. webinars) through a focus on content marketing

As Marketing Manager I was responsible for the promotion of Cell Press’s 30 scientific journals and the publisher as a whole. My campaigns ranged from branding, to product marketing, social media, lead generation, and developing our online presence.

Publisher of Media Technology books and videos authored by Oscar Award winners, Disney artists, and National Geographic photographers.

In these roles I was responsible for Focal Press’s digital marketing, including management of the online bookstore, social media, content marketing, and creating compelling product pages.

The role was later expanded to cover the imprints Morgan Kaufmann and Syngress.

As Assistant Editor I supported the Acquisitions Editor for Focal Press’s audio engineering and software books. I managed the projects from the signing of the author through to publication and beyond.

For two years I managed customer relationships with booksellers across Europe with a focus on accounts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. This involved everything from order processing, to ensuring booksellers stayed within their credit limits, and helping the sales teams meet their targets.
